Astrophotography is quickly becoming more of an obsession than a hobby of mine. Some of this is related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to take photos … and not traveling due to the restrictions. More importantly, I have always had a love of astronomy, the night sky and astrophotography is a natural progression.
There is something primal about looking up at the stars, knowing how far they are from where you currently sit, and looking back in time at light that may have travelled years to millennia for the photons to reach your retinas. It’s humbling, awe inspiring and empowering all at the same time.
