In July of 2015 I was in Paris on business and visited an exhibition/retrospective of Jean Paul Gaultier fashion and designs at the Grand Palais. I grabbed this shot, one of the many corsets on display. I typically shoot multiple brackets and create HDR images in post.
This time I really wanted to try something minimalist with the image – in stark contrast to Gaultier designs. I converted the image to black and white, blowing out the background and putting it in silhouette focusing on the stitching and detail as seen below.
The gallery image was printed on 8×10 Polar Gloss Metallic paper and is $75 at the event.
