View from Holmenkollen

Panoramic View from Holmenkollen

Last night my wife and I had dinner with a business colleague at the Scandic Hotel at Holmenkollen just outside of Oslo, Norway under the Skiforeningen (Ski Jump Museum).

Holmenkollen is a neighborhood in the Vestre Aker borough of OsloNorway. In addition to being a residential area, the area has been a ski recreation area since the late 19th century, with its famous, eponymous, ski jumping hill, the Holmenkollbakken, hosting competitions since 1892. To the north, the area borders to the woodlands area Marka. (Via Wikipedia)

While the food (pizza) was good, the views of Oslo and the surrounding area was amazing. I took eight handheld shots with my d610, using a Tamron 28-300 lens at f/11  at 50mm. Spending some time in Lightroom to stitch the images together and on1 Photo Suite to clean it all up I created the panorama below.
